SOC 2 software calculator: re-weight the vendor scores
Short answer
Set how much each criterion matters to you from 0 to 10. The six vendors are re-ranked in the page using the same criterion scores as our rankings. Only Secureframe publishes a starting price, so cost is shown for Secureframe alone.

The sliders start at our published weights, halved to fit the 0 to 10 scale: 9 for frameworks, integrations and experts, 7 for the audit path, 6 for pricing transparency and 5 each for AI and trust center. At those values the ranking matches the main ledger. Setting a slider to 0 removes that criterion.
How do the vendors rank on your weights?
| Rank | Vendor | Re-weighted score | Change vs our ranking | Published cost | Value | Must-have status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | Scytale | 7.52 | same | Not published, contact sales | Not applicable | No must-haves set |
| 02 | Vanta | 7.38 | same | Not published, contact sales | Not applicable | No must-haves set |
| 03 | Sprinto | 6.90 | same | Not published, contact sales | Not applicable | No must-haves set |
| 04 | Secureframe | 6.82 | same | Starting at $7,500/year, per year, Fundamentals plan, 1 framework | 0.91 points per $1,000 | No must-haves set |
| 05 | Drata | 6.18 | same | Not published, contact sales | Not applicable | No must-haves set |
| 06 | Thoropass | 5.16 | same | Not published, contact sales | Not applicable | No must-haves set |
Re-weighted score = sum of (criterion score x your weight) / sum of your weights. Criterion scores are 0 to 10 and come from our rankings. Value = re-weighted score / (published starting price / 1,000), shown only where a vendor publishes a price.
Scores are editorial and come from public vendor pages read on 2026-09-29. Prices are as published on that date.
Questions buyers ask
How does the SOC 2 calculator work?
Each vendor keeps its seven criterion scores. Your slider values replace our weights, and the page recomputes a weighted average for each vendor and sorts them.
Why is there no seat or headcount price?
None of the six vendors publishes a per-seat or per-employee price. Secureframe publishes a starting price of $7,500/year for its Fundamentals plan; the others quote after a call.
What do the must-haves do?
They flag vendors that do not meet a requirement based on what each vendor publishes, for example an in-house audit or a published price. Flagged vendors stay visible but drop below the ones that qualify.
Why does the order change so much when I move the experts slider?
Scores on the expert guidance model range from 4 to 10, a six-point spread, and it starts at one of the highest weights, so moving it has a large effect on the ranking.
